Highland Hugs

Enveloped in a cosy embrace, Lady Josephine sinks deeper and deeper into the shaggy fur, subsiding her tears, calming her tremble. Luscious scents of lavender and grass pour from every fibre and a deep rhythmic rumble echoes through the air.  After tightening her grip for a moment, Josephine has found the bravery to face the world again. She peers up to be greeted by two curved horns and a gentle smile that belong to Bounty, the Highland Cow. Josephine bursts into speech, as Bounty attentively listens to her chronicling her heartbreak. In his hazelnut eyes she finds that every word, feeling and event she speaks is acknowledged without judgement. Healing from the isolation of woe takes time, so Josephine promises to keep looking for hope and offers one final, big squeeze before departure. Bounty must leave to fulfil his responsibility, for many are in need of a hug.
